 CAMPING TRIP VLOG Reflecting on my senior camping trip video, inspired by Baudrillard's *Simulation*, I found a deep connection with the concept of nostalgia. Baudrillard suggests that when the real loses its substance, nostalgia takes center stage, fueling the desire to resurrect a past perceived as authentic. This notion found a profound echo when I edited our camping sequences, choosing to add subtitles by hand rather than relying on impersonal software. This choice gave the video a unique personality, transforming it from a simple documentation into a reflection of our experiences. Our journey, full of humor, discovery and the quirks of individual personalities, embodies the “resurrection of the figurative” described by Baudrillard.
